VACANCY NOTICE

Applications are hereby invited from suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill the following positions which has arisen in our organization.

SECURITY GUARDS (COUNCIL POLICE) X 10

PERIOD: 3 MONTHS CONTRACT

DUTY STATION : ZAKA RURAL DISTRICT COUNCIL JERERA

GRADE 3

QUALIFICATIONS AND ATTRIBUTES

• A minimum of 5 “O” Levels
• Aged between 25- 50
• Should be able to operate a gun
• Should be prepared to work long hours including weekends and public holidays
• Demonstrate high levels of integrity, discipline and commitment to the public.
• Ex-police, army or prisons is an added advantage
• Ability to ride a motorbike is an added advantage
• Experience working on a similar position is an added advantage
• Should provide own accommodation

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Escorting staff when collecting revenue within and around Zaka District
• Protecting and safe guarding council premises and properties
• Participating in emergency responses and public safety initiatives
• Enforcing on revenue collection in all council areas
• Enforcing council bylaws, regulations and policies
• Assisting in traffic control and parking management
• Any other duties as assigned by the supervisor
